random thought

what is righteousness? Well I'm not, but He who is greater than me is. I do not obtain His righteousness through works, but through faith. Heb 11:6 "for without faith it is impossible to please Him..." Faith in what? Faith in the things that I have accomplished. No, that would be works. See, religion is all about works. Works are the only way man can know you have faith. But God sees it differently. We have faith in Him so he can be pleased with us. We get it backwards. Work work work and then God will be pleased. God doesn't do things like we would. When we build a house, what is the first thing we do? Not God. He built the furniture. Why? God is an inside out worker. You have faith first, then GOD can work through you and unto others. When we try in the flesh then that is all we are going to achieve. It may look good on the outside but God's only pleased with whats on the inside. Then and only then will God bless. And those blessings are what other people see. "Let your light so shine, before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven." The light comes from Him. If we are providing our own light then the people will see pride, over-confidence and self righteousness. If He is providing the light, then the people will see humility, compassion and a multitude of Gods blessings on our lives. In the words of bubba, "That's amazing" Yes, yes it is.
